Braccus Rex is an incredibly tough fight, and you'll need to be ready. Sell off any excess treasure and buy gear if it's available. You'll want to stock up on fire resistance gear, potions, and scrolls. Immunity to burning is important, but the actual fire resistance, to reduce fire damage, is more important.

Also, this battle is fairly dependent on invisible dice rolls. If you don't consider it cheating, consider abusing the rolling quick saves. In our Essential Tips and Tricks page, we mention that you should save after every battle in which you like the outcome. For this fight, you might want to consider quick saving after every turn in which you like the outcome.
Also consider bringing in a new teammate, depending on your Skills. Front-line fighters are less useful in this fight, so if you have two of them between a Source Hunter and Madora, you may want to send Madora back to the inn and hire a Wizard from the Hall of Heroes in your Homestead. Rain spells will be useful here too. Stock up as necessary.
Once you're ready, head to the church Waypoint Portal. Head inside, go down the stairs in the middle of the church, then approach the blue force field. Approach it, then open the inventory of the character who spoke to Zombie Jack. You'll find a special amulet in your inventory called Enlightened Amulet. Click-drag it onto the pedestal to shut down the force field.
You'll have a conversation with Councillor Jake beyond the force field, as well as Thelyron. This will be your last chance to barter with Thelyron and you won't be able to buy back anything you sell to him, so you be sure you're only selling stuff you absolutely will not want back. Hard save (not quick save) after the conversation. Once you're through the next door, you will speak to Braccus Rex, then engage him.
Braccus Rex is powerful himself, but the biggest problem is that he's flanked by three other bad guys you've dealt with before: The Ghoul-That-Guards-The-Lighthouse, The Twins-By-Fire-Joined, and Diederik the Baron of Bones. All three of Rex's friends are spread out, but it won't take them too many turns to come after you.
There are a number of ways you can try to fight. At its core, you do not want to face all four at once. Even if your party is at Level 9, they can trash you in only a turn or two if they gang up on one party member. Rex himself will cast a spell that will absolutely trash your party, as he drops a bunch of fireballs that do high direct damage, moderate splash damage, sets the ground on fire (which is almost certain to cause Burning), and he may target only a single party member to take all the fireballs.
Rex always opens with that attack, and usually follows up by a war cry that attempts to strike all four members with Fear. He's all but certain to act before any of your team.
One way you can try to deal with his opening is to take your party member that has the highest hit points and fire resistance, then send him in alone. If he survives, send in the rest of the party and try to heal up your poor party member victim. If you don't have anyone who you think can handle it, you may need to send in the whole party, but you risk losing one of your party. Consider loading back if you have to.
Once you survive the opening, you need to plan your attack. The longer you stand there, the greater the chance the others will approach you. Diederik is the least of your worries since he can only attack in melee. The Ghoul is risky because he's defensively the weakest, but if he spits poison, it often explodes once the others use their fire-based attacks. The combination can quickly render the battlefield nearly impossible to traverse.
There are two basic strategies to go with from the opening. First, you can try picking off one of the lesser bosses. If you move to the right as soon as you enter the room, then trace the external wall, you'll find the Ghoul camping out in the middle of a poison field. You can set it (and him) on fire, wearing him down incredibly fast. If you can kill him before The Twins or Diederik notice, you'll have a much easier time since poison will be completely removed from the equation.
If you're not so confident against the Ghoul, you can try tracing the wall to the left instead. You'll be noticed and attacked by Rex, but you'll be able to engage Diederik first. However, you can easily be trapped in that section of the room. The only advantage there is that Diederik starts in a field of blood, which is advantageous if you have a party member with the Leech Talent. It's far more dangerous however, so if you choose to attack a lesser boss first, try to deal with the Ghoul.
Note that after you defeat The Twins, it will leave behind a very dangerous magma area that cannot be removed. As such, it should be your main first target, killed it as fast as possible. Then you can use Jahan to teleport the Ghoul or Diederik onto the magma!
The alternate strategy is to simply attack whoever is closest, preferably Rex himself. The Twins should be ignored as long as both The Ghoul and Diederik remain because The Twins will easily be healed by his own attacks or by Rex's. In fact, if Rex throws his multi-fireball attack anywhere near the Twins, the Twins will generally have maximum health afterward. Attacking him will then be a complete waste of your time.
Remember that you don't have to engage the enemies in that room. In fact, if your opening move is to retreat into the previous room, it will prevent the enemies from swarming you since they'll have to bottleneck at the door. Also, it will delay The Twins' entry into the fight since they'll have walk a longer distance. If Jahan is in the party and you retreat, you can also use his Teleportation spell to keep The Ghoul or Diederik at a distance, forcing them to walk even further. In Diederik's case, if you can teleport him behind the bottleneck, he won't be able to get to you since he can only attack in melee.
Once you decide on the battleground, you'll need to unleash a Rain spell as fast as you can. It won't weaken The Twins, but it will limit any burning damage and might help keep the floor traverseable. Plus, as long as the battlefield is soaked, you can attempt to stun or freeze the enemies. Even Rex can be frozen, but he's highly resistant. Still, if you can freeze him, especially if you happen to have high accuracy with your Chill spells, you might be able to keep him contained. If you do, take advantage and lay all your attacks into whoever is most convenient.
Generally, after about seven to ten turns, Rex will cast his multi-fireball again. If you haven't managed to take down one of the lesser bosses by then, that attack will almost certainly kill one or more of your team. Once you choose a target, no matter what it is, you need to go after it as hard as you can. The faster you can take down any target, the better the chance you'll pull off a win.
As mentioned before, consider quick saving between every turn when you're happy with the results. With the randomness of the enemy attacks, you might find that a turn that wrecks havoc with your team might not be so bad after a reload.
If you have taken down at least one (or preferably two) minor boss before Rex does his second multi-fireball attack, you may want consider running away. As long as they're not crowding you, you can elect to flee from the battle using the red button below the minimap. If you flee, all enemy damage is maintained, including kills. You can retreat, heal up, buy more scrolls, do another hard save, then go back to the church after you're ready. If you choose to do this, remember that you'll need to command each character to flee individually.
If you flee, then come back, the enemies will likely be near where they were when you fled. Rex tends to return to the middle of the room, but the others do not return to their starting positions. This could be to your advantage: if the enemies came into the previous room (the one where Thelyron had his final speech), or if they're still bottlenecked at the door, you might be able to get in a few easy shots before they all get involved.
Either way, remember to throw down a Rain spell again as fast as possible unless the only one left is Diederik. You need to keep control and keep the battlefield wet, lowering the chance of suffering burns and increasing the chance you can stun or freeze Rex.
It's a tough battle, but you can do it. Just remember to keep those quick saves going, don't be afraid to run away to heal up if things get bad. The enemies will never heal without you being close by, so fleeing to regroup is sometimes the only way to survive. Even then, near the end of the fight, you might have to suffer a couple deaths to pull off the win. That's what resurrection scrolls are for after all!
Divinity Original Sin Helmets
Speaking of resurrection scrolls, there's one in the south corner of the room. After the bosses are all dead, you'll have plenty of loot to take, and that scroll is the least of it. Once you've taken what you want, use teleport back to the city, then head to the Legion Headquarters. Talk to Aureus and exhaust all the dialog options, just to make sure you've been fully rewarded for all the side quests you've cleared. In doing so, you'll resolve The Undead Scourge. After that, go upstairs and talk to Arhu, and exhaust all of his dialog options. You'll trigger and resolve The Skeleton King's Summoner.
Congratulations, you're now done with Cyseal! In the next part of the walkthrough, we'll be exploring a new area.

Googled it and got some mixed results, can anyone confirm the solution to the puzzle and if it is a 'pick 1' scenerio? A lot of previous results say you can just lockpick the chests but I can't.
Additionally besides the equipment chests, how do we open those?

Saving and loading after looting one of them (Kvyn's) and experimenting with different effects on the other (Ruaney's) got both to open for me..

They changed it in the most recent patch so that you can't lockpick them anymore, so I guess that it was a bug that you could before, which is why people said that they could in older posts.
The way to open them now is to cast Blood Rain on them, though it'll only open one of the equipment chests and lock the other, depending on which one you cast it on (50/50 if you cast it on both at the same time, I guess?). I saved and reloaded after opening one that way and that made it so the other one was unlocked and the one I had opened first was locked.
To be honest, I'm not really sure what the intended interaction is for these chests and what's a bug, but what I mentioned seemed to work for me.

I think it is either, or. You can get one or the other. I was able to open the one he could not by using just my bow with lightning but I could not open the other one.

Yeah, open one with blood rain. Save, Load, wait 5 seconds and the other 'chest' opens. Don't know why, but it worked for me as well. I'm not using the armor anyway.

Barring Fane's armor (which is just modified Inquisitor armor) none of the Origin characters' armors can be found in game. This mod adds those armors to chests near the spawn for each Act and sets them to scale like that character's default class (ex. Fane's armor scales like all mage armor because Wizard is his default class).
With update 1.1, the armors are now craftable and the required materials are in each chest.
Upper Body: Material + Hammer
Lower Body: Material + Hammer + Hammer
Boots: Material + Hammer + Hammer + Hammer
Gloves: Material + Hammer + Hammer + Hammer + Hammer
Below are the materials for each character's armor.
Red Prince: Plate Scraps
Beast: Metal Scraps
Fane: Wood Scraps
Ifan: Hide Scraps
Lohse: Cloth Scraps
Sebille: Hide Scraps
If you have visited a region already when you load this mod, those chests will be empty. ex. if you are in Fort Joy when you load the mod for the first time, those chests will be empty, but the ones on the Lady Vengeance and later will be fine
----------------------
Known issues: (If someone has any tips for solving these, I'd be overjoyed)
-The armors are called 'Nameless item' (That's why they're sorted in chests)
-The armors are all level 1 despite setting the chests to a level appropriate to the region. I would recommend using Zanzer's Cheat Engine table ( http://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?t=202 ) to work around this. Crafting the items also fixes this.
If you catch any other issues, let me know!

How To Earn Cash Fast | Easy Gold Guide
There are lots of ways to earn money fast in Divinity: Original Sin 2, so we’ll keep a running tally of tasks / tips to keep you informed.
Methord #1: Early Game Earnings [1,000+ Gold]
Divinity Original Sin Improved Armor
At the start of the game, you’ll be pretty strapped for cash. For a big payday in Fort Joy, find the raised balcony with the high ladder on the balcony. Teleport up to the balcony, then drop the ladder down to easily access the locked door. Lockpick the door (it helps to have a diverse team) to enter Orivand’s Chambers.
NOTE: If you don’t have the Teleportation skill, acquire the Glove of Teleportation from The Teleporter quest.
Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition Armor Sets
The chambers are full of pricey objects to steal, including paintings and another locked chest you can crack open with the right skills. Take everything that isn’t nailed down and sell it for a quick reward. Don’t forget to move the dressing panel in the missing balcony wall to find another unlocked chest outside the chamber.
Method #2: Pickpocket Everyone [2000+ Per Pickpocket]
If you put points into Thievery and Sneaking, you can earn tons of cash by pickpocketing everyone and everything in town. Sneaking reduces vision cones while sneaking, making it easier to avoid detection, while thievery enhances the amount of gold you can loot, and improves your pickpocketing and lockpicking skills.
NOTE: You can respect at any time to drop all your points into Thievery and Sneaking if you want fast cash. It also helps to collect armor or gear that further enhances Thievery. Reach Thievery 4 at least for best results.
You can only attempt to pickpocket a target ONCE. If you find a target with lots of stuff to loot, dump all your points and enhance Thievery as much as you can to get the most value out of a rich NPC. You can completely rob Traders, so whenever possible, check to see if there’s a spot you can enter stealth near shops.
- After robbing an NPC, they’ll realize they’ve been robbed after a few seconds. Complete a pickpocket, then immediately retreat out of the area so they don’t see you.
- They’ll only alert others and attack if they spot you after they realize they’ve been robbed, so you can sprint away safely right after a success.
- Before pickpocketing, send the rest of your party far away so you don’t have to deal with them while sneaking / retreating. They can wait outside of town or in a far-off location where your thievery victims won’t find them.
If a pickpocketed NPC does not find you, they’ll exit the alert stage and you can safely talk to them without incident. At Thievery 4, you can earn 2,000+ Gold from a single rich NPC.
Method #3: Digging Up The Dead [3500+ Gold]
In the town of Driftwood on Reaper’s Coast, go to the graveyard called Ryker’s Rest. Knock on Ryker’s door and talk to him, then tell him the truth in the conversation tree. He’ll let you inside his well-stocked house. This method relies more on your Bartering skill than you stealth.
NOTE: Talk to the Masked Servant beside the dining table. He’ll turn to face whatever direction you choose to talk to him. Talk to him so he looks away from the table. Now you can loot it freely while sneaking.
The building is full of items you can loot if you’re sneaky. The dining table is a treasure trove of items — golden spoons, serving plates, forks, knives, pitchers, and tons of other junk that’s good only for selling. Collect everything and unload at the nearest store to easily earn 3,500 gold. There are more rooms with more masked servants — go through the house, picking it clean. You don’t need high stealth to rob Ryker’s place blind.
Method #4: Rob The Lady Vengeance Blind [100,000+ Gold]
Like Method #2, this method is all about pickpocketing. Instead of tricking random traders, you’ll instead be able to rob from the traders you recruit to the Lady Vengeance, a ship that’s available later in the game. There are lots of random NPCs you can recruit to help you on the ship, and many of them carry an insane amount of gold.
On the Lady Vengeance, respec your entire team of characters to have Thievery 5, and equip gear that can increase it further for the most gold. Then, simply, rob from each of the NPC traders, one at a time. Each character can only pickpocket an NPC once — but that only counts for a single character. You can rob a trader up to four times, using four different party members.
Rob the following characters multiple times;
- Fletcher Corbin Day (Recruit from the Abandoned Sawmill in Driftwood.)
- Gareth
- Sergeant Zrilla
- Almira
- Larquin
- Jahan
Don’t bother taking any of the equipment. Just loot the gold stack in their inventory. A single character can collect 50,000+ from these NPCs alone. Go and pickpocket everyone with every single character, and you’ll never need gold again.
